Default Democrats Take Over the House (maybe Senate)

Anyone have any speculation on how this would affect the stock market? Already, you're seeing market reactions to this.

Almost any news affects the stock market, which tells you traders want a reason to sell and buy, while at the same time create some chaos. There won't be a big change because there isn't a very important issue for the Republicans as the case in Iraq is more or less on its last leg, while at the same time their days on the job are numbered. It's not going to be easy, but we have to wait and see what would be the toughest gridlock.

It will be interesting to see how this unfolds. I think the market is on stand by mode for a while.

I don't think we'll see any real movement until everyone starts trying to get things done. Before then, we can speculate but it's likely there won't be any serious changes in the economy until after we know what everyone in Congress is up to.

No spec but very happy about it. It wasn't going to be long until Bush signed away every preserved natural area that we had.

I take it you don't like Bush. I feel that he is motivated not by today but instead by tomorrow. To be specific, he is motivated by padding his future. I don't care for Bush because I find him to be very Anti-American.

While he's at it, he's adding to the pockets of his buddies and family. Is congress going to impeach him? Do you think he's going to face some of his crimes?

What crimes, if I may ask?

There might be some adverse reaction in the short term, but I don't think it would be a big deal in the long term.
