Default What are prepaid cards?

Prepaid cards are payment cards with a stored value on the card itself unlike debit cards, where an external account is maintained by a financial institution or credit cards, which are subject to the credit limits set by the issuer.

Default Re: What are prepaid cards?

The prepaid cards are different from debit cards. The prepaid cards are not linked to bank accounts as debit cards are. When you are using the prepaid card, you are using the money loaded onto the card. You cannot spend money more than the loaded amount. Furthermore, the prepaid cards have fewer consumer protections than a debit card. Also, remember the prepaid cards are not similar to credit cards either.
